Daksheenie Abeyewardene is a solicitor and the senior partner of the firm.
Daksheenie graduated from Sri Lanka Law College with First Class Honours and the academic prize. Having then trained in the chambers of the President’s Counsel, she was admitted as an Attorney At Law in June 1975, and later became one of the first five women to storm a previously all male bastion when she was appointed an Assistant State Attorney at the Attorney General's department.She was also an examiner for the Sri Lanka Law college in Commercial law and Local Government law. After she arrived in the United Kingdom, she joined Ziadies Solicitors in 1985.
Daksheenie is now an accredited senior caseworker and supervisor for Immigration. She handles public and privately funded immigration cases and specialises in business immigration. She continues to practise in Family law and Conveyancing, and also provides advice to Charities.
Under her leadership the firm has grown to become one of the leaders in the South London legal field, and it employs specialist teams for the various areas of law which the firm practises.
She is a trustee for a Christian charity, and is active in support of mission work.
Her other main interest seems to be in cooking and feeding the five thousand.
